QA Automation Engineer

Boost, the digital services arm of Axiata Group Berhad, drives innovation across digital payments, financing, and platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality within the pod by owning end-to-end testing (manual and automation), building and maintaining automation suites, and ensuring strong test coverage across Web, Mobile, and APIs—while actively contributing to quality engineering practices and automation strategy.

Job Description:

• Review requirements and design to provide timely feedback on product features
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test scenarios including functional, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing
• Perform testing across Web, Mobile, and API platforms to ensure adequate coverage
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test scripts for regression and critical user journeys
• Analyze test execution results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure stability of automation suites
• Manage defects by logging, tracking, and performing root cause analysis in collaboration with development teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in QA processes, tools, and automation practices
• Support release activities, including validation, post-release verification, and production issue analysis
• Perform test analysis, derive test objectives that maximize scenarios and coverage based on product requirements
• Share QA / testing knowledge with counterpart teams to enable them to support testing activities when necessary
• At times support production deployment which could be outside working hours

Job Requirements:          

• 3 - 7 years hands-on experience in Software QA / testing
• Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Hands-on experience with testing Mobile applications, Web applications, and API
• Experience with Linux operating systems is an advantageSolid experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or similar)
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST clients)
• Familiarity with: CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) & Test management & defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL such as MongoDB is a plus)
