Product Owner
As a Payment Product Owner in our digital bank, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital payments in Malaysia. Focusing on payment rails, your expertise will be essential in developing innovative, secure, and user-friendly payment solutions for our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage your knowledge of the Malaysian payment ecosystem to enhance our digital payment offerings.
Responsibilities
1. Payment Rail Expertise:
- Deep understanding of payment rails in Malaysia, including DuitNow, and other local and international payment networks.
- Stay updated on the latest developments and regulations in the Malaysian payment landscape.
- Analyze and interpret market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
2. Product Development:
- Collaborate with the UIUX and tech teams to conceptualize, design, and develop cutting-edge digital payment solutions tailored to the Malaysian market.
- Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, ensuring seamless integration with local payment rails.
3. Compliance and Security:
- Ensure all payment products adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Implement robust security measures to safeguard customer data and transactions, mitigating risks associated with digital payments.
4. User Experience Optimization:
- Continuously assess and improve the user experience of digital payment products, focusing on simplicity, speed, and convenience for customers.
- Conduct usability studies and gather feedback to refine payment interfaces and functionalities.
5. Partnership and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with external partners, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to establish strategic alliances and expand the digital payment ecosystem.
- Negotiate agreements and contracts with payment service providers to ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to track payment product performance, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance metrics and suggesting improvements based on data analysis.
The right individual will have the following key success capabilities and qualities:
- Strong knowledge of payment rails, protocols, and technologies, including API integration and mobile payment systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital payment product development and management, specifically within the Malaysian market.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing digital payments in Malaysia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital payment products in the Malaysian financial industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, or any related field.
