Engineering Lead (Transversal)

As the engineering lead for Transversal, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain our fraud and anti-money laundering, customer authentication system. You will play crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our fraud and customer login infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of transversal (cross function) system including notification, fraud, IAM, lake house system etc.
2. Collaborate with solution architects, and other engineering lead to define technical requirements and deliver essential services that form the larger end-to-end solution.
3. Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
4. Ensure high performance, scalability, and availability of the transversal systems.
5. Implements best practices for software development, code reviews and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) like Jenkins.
6. Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with latest industry trends, technologies, andregulatory requirements.
7. Identify and address technical debt, ensuring the long-term maintainability and stability of the systems including consistently upgrade the JDK/SDK version.
8. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and engineering excellent within the engineering team.
9. Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project / migration execution

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Proven experience as an engineering lead or in a similar leadership role.
3. Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in Java, SpringBoot, MySQL, Kafka and microservices architecture.
4. In-depth knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) for web and mobile, and related technologies e.g. PingIdentity.
5. In-depth knowledge of authorization server (AuthZ) for web and mobile, and related technologies e.g. Open Policy.
6. In-depth knowledge of token, encryption, transaction signing.
7. Experience with lake house solution or data warehouse and related technologies e.g. Apache Airflow, Iceberg, Flink.
8. Experience with dashboard and reporting related technologies e.g. Apache Superset, Trino, Quicksight, Athena.
9. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and agile development methodologies.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
13. Experience working with fraud and anti-money laundering technologies e.g. Feedzai is a plus.
14. Understanding of security principles and compliance requirements related to payments (e.g. PCI-DSS) is a plus
15. Experience with cloud platform e.g. AWS, Python, Scala is a plus
