Cloud Engineer Senior Analyst

Role Overview: As a Cloud Engineer, Senior Analyst, you will be a key player in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure. Your role involves leveraging cloud technologies, ensuring security, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT ecosystem.
NEED TO DO :
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure to meet performance, security, cost efficiency, and scalability requirements.
Containerised Environment Management:
- Leverage Kubernetes or Docker technology for managing and orchestrating containerised environments.
Virtualised Environment Deployment:
- Utilise cloud technologies such as Google Cloud and AWS for efficient virtualised infrastructure deployment.
Automation Tools Configuration and Deployment:
- Configure, deploy, and maintain automation tools to support Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and CI/CD pipelines.
Access and Identity Management:
- Implement robust access and identity management solutions for secure cloud operations.
- Manage access to IT Infrastructure for customers, colleagues, and partners, adhering to access management procedures and industry standards.
Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and CI/CD:
- Apply IAC principles using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar tools.
Usage and Spending Analysis:
- Track and analyse Cloud Infrastructure usage and spending, maintaining optimal capacity utilisation, and suggesting potential cost-saving measures.
Collaboration with Software Developers:
- Work closely with Software Developers to deploy dynamically scalable, available, fault-tolerant, and reliable infrastructure solutions.
Technical Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, performing root cause analysis of incidents.
Support and Incident Management:
- Support peers in monitoring, troubleshooting, incident, and disaster recovery management to enhance Customer Experience and meet SLAs.
NEED TO KNOW & NEED TO BE
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering or related roles.
- Proven expertise in deploying and managing virtualized infrastructure using AWS, Google Cloud, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes or Docker for containerized environment management.
- Experience deploying and managing network appliances - FW, LB, NAT, DNS, etc., on the cloud.
- Strong background in Access and Identity Management in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of IAC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD processes (GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker).
- Experience in Linux OS administration.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing a high level of initiative.
- Act as a team player, fostering a collaborative environment within the cloud engineering team. Good communication skills and ability to negotiate at all levels of the organization
